Pretty Rings and Broken Things is the perfect combination of drama, romance, and suspense that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

I was so excited about this release, that I started reading it on its publication day on Kindle Unlimited. This is my honest opinion of Kat Singleton’s 2nd installation of the Black Tie Billionaires series.

Pretty rings can’t always fix broken things.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop powerful men from trying. Which is why instead of getting the wedding I’d always dreamed of, I was forced to marry the heir to our rival company and join a family that we’ve hated for generations.

An arranged marriage to make our problem disappear.

Then again, I’m the one that snuck around behind my father’s back and ended up at the center of a scandal that could ruin my family’s reputation.

Now the only person who can protect me is the cold and calculated billionaire, Archer Moore.

The marriage was only supposed to be for show, but Archer can be very convincing. He’s demanded we move in together. That we kiss. That we make it look—and feel—real. He’s a man who is obsessed with getting what he wants—and I’m starting to think what he wants is me.

But the closer we get, and the less we pretend, the more I question if the grudges between our families are too much to overcome for a marriage that was built on pretty rings and broken things.

Pretty Rings and Broken Things is a billionaire, arranged marriage romance releasing early 2024. It is Winnie’s book and a complete standalone.

My Thoughts: Pretty Rings and Broken Things by Kat Singleton

I liked Kat Singleton’s writing since the first book Black Ties and White Lies, and Pretty Rings and Broken Things was so fun to read. I’m always a fan of the rivals/enemies to lovers trope and was very excited to jump in!

Winnie’s struggle between wanting to please her family and following her heart is a common theme that many readers can identify with, especially when she doesn’t feel like she can speak up.

In truth, Winnie is kind and genuine which garners Archer’s attention and later steals his heart.

Archer, on the other hand, is calculating and cold. But as his walls start to crumble, we see a softer side to him that he only shows Winnie.

The chemistry between these two is undeniable and makes for some steamy scenes.

The plot is fast-paced and filled with sweet and steamy moments that kept me hooked until the very end.

I couldn’t wait to see how Winnie and Archer’s relationship would develop–especially reading how Archer quickly falls for Winnie.

The only downside for me was that I wasn’t fully sold on Winnie and Archer’s love story. Although Archer is described as cold and calculating, he warms up to Winnie pretty early on in the book.

This, however, didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the book as I loved how their relationship unfolded.

Final Thoughts: Pretty Rings and Broken Things by Kat Singleton

Overall, I recommend downloading Pretty Rings and Broken Things to anyone who loves a good rivals-to-lovers story with a boy-obsessed male main character and a too sweet female main character.
